Raptors take out Sixers again

Lowery three’s key to victory

Kyle Lowery fired up six three point shots and made all six en route to his Toronto Raptors defeating the Philadelphia 76ers 122-95 last night.

“Catch ’em and shoot ’em. We have a team where no-one cares who’s the man,” Lowery said.  “On any given night, you can go off for 30 and we’ll all be supportive and happy for you.”

For the Sixers, it was their 4th straight loss but Head Coach Brett Brown had high praise for the Raptors.

“They’ve grown this thing in a way we respect, we want to try 76ersand learn as much as we can in how they’ve done it,” Brown said. “The pieces are solid. It’s way beyond just DeMar. You saw what Kyle did from the perimeter. This is a team that’s built for the playoffs, they’ve been battle-tested, they’ve played together. There hasn’t been erratic player movement, they’ve retained a core.”

The Sixers have little time to regroup as they prepare for a home game against the Orlando Magic tomorrow evening at the Wells Fargo Center.  Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so be sure to grab your tickets and get out to see your Philadelphia 76ers!

Sixers endure 12th straight loss

This has not been an easy season for the Philadelphia 76ers.  They began the season with an 12-game losing streak and again find themselves in the midst of turmoil as they succumbed to the Charlotte Hornets with a 119-99 pounding at the Wells Fargo Center.  The Sixers were still without starter Jahlil Okafor who was sidelined with a bruised shin.  There is still no timetable for his return and with missing the playoffs a foregone conclusion, there is no need to rush him back.

“It’s still something that we are concerned with,” Sixers coach Brett Brown said before the game. “Concerned to the point to not putting him in a position for it continue to be sore. So we are going to be smart with it and just rest him.”

The Sixers will host Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat Friday night at the Wells Fargo Center. Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so be sure to get yours today!

Sixers hoping to defend home court tonight

The Phoenix Suns picked up just their 14th victory of the season with a 98-95 win over the Atlanta Hawks Saturday night and in the process snapped a six-game losing streak.  A win tonight would be their first winning streak in over two months.

The Sixers have been led thus far by Jahlil Okafor’s 17.4 ppg and are pleased with the progress that the young star to be has made.  The Sixers Brett Brown is especially pleased with Oakfor’s mid range jumper which the young rookie has been implementing as of late.

“I get upset when he doesn’t (take a shot).  When he picks and pops, and has daylight separation, I want him shooting,” Brown said. ” I get most concerned when he just picks and stands.  Whether he’s rolling to dunk, or rolling for a little 17 [foot] little pocket pass type shot, as long picking and moving, then good things can happen, and I think bad things happen when we’re indecisive.”
